Aiming at developing a new titanium alloy suitable for dental CAD/CAM application, the machinability of experimental Ti-Ag alloys was evaluated. The hardness and tensile strength of the experimental alloys were higher than those of the unalloyed titanium. However, the machinability of the experimental alloys was better, or at least was not worse, compared to the unalloyed titanium.
