Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of dentin surface treatments using citric acid and/or tannic acid on the dentin bond strengths to glass ionomer cement. The citric acid treatment increased the bond strength of glass ionomer cement to dentin, while the bond strength did not increase solely by the application of tannic acid. The additional tannic acid application to the citric acid treatment to dentin did not adversely affect the bond strength of light-cured glass ionomer cement.
