Abstract

A three-dimentional finite element models of straight wire gold and Co-Cr alloy clasps were created and bended to angle of 90˚ or 120˚. Thereafter these models deflected 0.25 mm, 0.50 mm, and 0.75mm at the tip. Residual stress and permanent deformation were compared.
