The measurement of the artificial tooth color by the dental colorimeter

Abstract

we examined whether the measurement of the artificial tooth color by the dental colorimeter was possible in this study. In addition, we examined the factor which influenced the measurement of the color by dental colorimeter. Shadeeye NCC (Shofu) and Easyshade (Vita) were used for the dental colorimeter. The most of the artificial tooth that the measurement was possible were judged in A color system. There were few accordant with the shade guide number and measurement data in the hard resin tooth. The measurement part of the artificial tooth and the background color did not influence the result by dental colorimeter. For the tooth number, the central incisal tooth and the lateral incisal tooth were the same shade numbers, but the color of cuspid was different in shade number or color system.
