Abstract
In this study, to examine the color-related specificity of laser absorption at various wavelengths, we irradiated filter paper, which had been stained with red, blue, green, and purple caries-detecting solutions, with a laser, measured the energy from the laser penetrating the filter paper using a laser energy sensor, and calculated the rate of absorption. These findings suggest that caries staining with blue or green caries-detecting solutions for diode laser treatment facilitates selective removal.
