Abstract
We have experienced a case of synchronous double cancer developing in the right upper lobe in a 64-year old male. Abnormal shadows were detected in the right upper lobe on an annual physical examination. Curative resection was performed.
Postoperative examination of serial sections revealed two different histologic types of cancer, one was well differentiated bronchioalveolar adenocarcinoma, and the other was poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma.
Both of these tumors were completely distinct from each other radiographically and histologically.
