Abstract
We have been developing Drabkin energy filters for pulse shaping at the J-PARCneutron source.Drabkin energy filter could reduce pulse width without losingwide-bandwidth and also be used as a fast chopper for pulsed neutrons.In this article, simulations on wide-band pulse shaping mode and chopper-mode for J-PARCmoderators are presented along with experimental results on our proto-type Drabkinfilters.
