Pulsed-Neutron Diffraction Investigations of Long-Period Magnetic Modulation in DyRu₂Si₂, TbRu₂Si₂ and TbRu₂Ge₂

Abstract

Single crystal pulsed-neutron diffraction studies have been performed on TbRu₂Si₂, TbRu₂Ge₂ and DyRu₂Si₂which exhibit both temperature-and magnetic field-induced magnetic transitions. The long-period commensuratemagnetic structures of those temperature-and field-induced phases are determined and a phase stabilityamong those structures is discussed based on q-dependent molecular field model.
