Abstract
The following Mommsen's Puffer solution medium proved very favorable for staining the acid fast bacterium in tissues. Three per cent carboled 0.1% fuchsin is added to the puffer solution (1/10 N causatic soda solution 21.6cc:+1/10 Nice acetic acid 27cc+ distilled water 10L.) This solution, 30-60°C, is meant to stain for 10 minutes.
