Abstract
Eighteen lepers, 72 healthy people, and 10 syphilitic and other dermatological patientswere examined with the No. 920 strain or pathogenic acid-fast bacillus culture medium filtered fluid. The intracutaneous reaction thus acquired was investigated in relation to the tuberculin test and the early Mitsuda reaction.
The result of the experimentation shows that the No. 920 strain filtered liquid intracutareous reaction reveals reddening and infiltration in 24-43 hours. When these symptoms have disappeared any latter reaction such as the Mitsuda test never appears. The early Mitsuda reaction, the No. 920 strain filtered liquid reaction, and the tuberculin reaction correspond to one another in 40-70 percent. However it can be ascertained that these three are activated by different factors.
