Abstract
The effect on the erythrocyte-sedimentation rate of leprosy patients was observed through the oral use of RESTAMIN which is one of anti-histamic drugs, with the following results.
1. In the case of the lepromatous type and macular type, the delay of the erythrocyte-sedimenation rate was observed through the oral use of RESTAMIN, in the latter type, the histamin content in blood was considered less than the former, its phenomenon appeared ealier, in lepromatous type.
But delay-phenomenon is anyhow so temporary, it easily regains the pre-treatment condition as soon as the atmsnistration discontinues.
2. No mentionable delay-phenomenon was observed in the case of nervous type of leprosy through the oral use of RESTAMIN with adjustment of various dose.
