Abstract
The nearer to 7.0 rises the PH of saliva, the fewer tooth caries is recognized, and according to the PH decrease to 6.0-5.0 it is seen oftener. It is an interesting fact with an observation that tooth caries is fewer in the mandibular front teeth near the orifice of subligual and mandibular glands which secrete alkaline than in the teeth near the parotis gland of acid saliva.
