Abstract
In the total 19 cases (8 of lepromatous, 8 macular and 3 nervous) the skin temperature was measured on the skin of the forehead after the both legs have been heated or cooled, and compared with the normal.
The striking difference was observed in general in the curve was divided into three types.
The first curve presents the instability of the adjustment of skin temperature, which can be seen in the exhausted sound people or in the patients of Basedow's disease, namely, a marked decrease takes place by heating the both legs. This change was seen in the severe lepromatous patients.
The second type shows almost no change of the skin temperature on the forehead and can he observed in the moderate macular and nervous leprosy.
The third type has no great difference from that of the normal, but the rise or down of the temperature is more or less prolonged.
The above results indicate a great instable condition of leprosy patients against the thermostimulation.
