Abstract
The author made a complement fixation test with the sera of 35 leprous cases, 10 syphilitic patients and 10 healthy bodies. As the antigen he used Ohta's Bg and Cd stems, which were cultivated from the blood of leprous patients, and bacilli of rat leper, hen tuberculosis as well as smegma. The antigen was prepared by the Ohta's third method.
The test showed the highest positiveness with leprous sera. In a few syphilitic cases there were seen the positive reaction. A half of syphilitic sera tested demonstrated a complete negative reaction. In 2 healthy cases there were seen an incomplete reaction.
During a continuous injection of a gold preparation (aurothiophenol -m- carbonacid natrium) leprous sera showed a lower positiveness than those which were taken after an interruption of the injection
