BSC Based on the Strategic Stories: A Case Study in Nursing Management at Nagoya Ekisaikai Hospital During COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to clarify how Nagoya Ekisaikai Hospital responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. First, by clarifying the hospital’s Mission, Vision, and Values (MVV) while crafting a strategic story, the nursing department was able to maintain focus despite the disruption of the pandemic. Second, through the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), the staff were able to align their efforts toward a common direction.
