Implementation of Human Centered Design penetration in enterprises through an Open Recruitment event - Practice of UCDA Award -

Abstract

The UCDA Award is an event where ‘legible, readable, and understandable design’ are publicly invited, and experts and users evaluate them from an HCD perspective to decide on the award. This paper introduces the practice of the awards, examine the effectiveness of this process as a method of penetrating HCD to companies. The awards are expected to make it easier to secure budgets and human resources for the penetration of HCD. In 2023, more than 50 companies, mainly insurance and banking, participated. We hope to see participation from more industries in the future.
