Abstract
Reminiscence has become to be used for preventing the dementias in medical or welfare facilities, recently. Museums also began to use the reminiscence for the same purpose with the museum materials especially in Showa period. The purpose of this study was to research the activities in medical or welfare facilities to search the new application of reminiscence as the new function of the museums. It was concluded that the application of reminiscence in museums was to be expected to promote the interrelationships between senior and younger generations; the cultural tradition, and which will be expected to be used for the tradition of the culture of the disappearing tribes in the world.
