Abstract
The synergistic extraction of Gadolinium(III) has been studied to the porous resin impregnated with amixture of LIX 51, and a neutral ligand, 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmp). The synergistic enhancementof the extraction of Gd(III) occurred by the addition of dmp in the impregnated resin system as well as the solventextraction system. The maximum amount of the extracted Gd(III) was almost consistent with the calculated valuefrom amounts of reagents held in the resin. The recovery of Gd(III) extracted with the resin, and the reuse of theimpregnated resin was also discussed.
