Abstract
National Institute of Technology, Hachinohe College (hereinafter referred to as Hachinohe Kosen) has been selected as a “Global Kosen” from among nine Kosen in Tohoku (except Fukushima) and Hokkaido District. The purpose of the Global Kosen is to explore global engineering development programs and to improve the cross cultural understanding as well as the English communication proficiency of students. In addition, faculty as well as staff members are required to understand competencies for global engineers and have skills to train and educate global engineers. In this article, the aims and approaches of Hachinohe Kosen’s Global Project are described.
