Engineering Method for Overviewing Performance of Superconducting Tunnel Junctions for X-ray Detection

Abstract

  Superconducting tunnel junctions are expected to produce excellent energy resolution for x-ray detection. A simple procedure is employed to overviewing the detector characteristics. The performance of the detectors is reproduced with an acceptable accuracy by the simple method. This method is suitable for designing parameters of tunnel junctions as well as scaling detector performance to an unknown region.
