On March 11, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake and the following tsunami had resulted in serious damage to the Fukushima nuclear power plants, and the radioactive materials in the plants were released into the environment. Then radioactivity of domestic foods was regulated on March 17, because of the contamination of agricultural crops has occurred. Here, I describe the regulation and the analytical method of radioactivity in foods in Japan, and then the consideration about the intake of radioactivity from foods in the 2011 fiscal year.
