For making computed tomography (CT) with energy information practical, the author invented a new detector system, a "transXend" detector, which measured X-rays as electric current and brought energy distribution of X-rays after analysis. The principle of the transXend detector is explained. Some applications of the transXend detector are shown, next. Finally, a method to apply the principle of the transXend detector in the third generation CT is demonstrated.
