Measurement of Vacuum Ultraviolet Radiation Dose by Alanine Dosimeter at International Space Station and the First Japanese Astrobiology Space Experiment "Tanpopo Project"

Abstract

Passive chemical dosimeter was developed using alanine film evaporated on MgF₂ and SiO₂ in order to measure accumulated dose of vacuum ultraviolet radiation at the International Space Station. Obtained result was consistent with the results reported by EXPOSE-R project.
