Trial of Recurrent Education on Maintenance Engineering

Abstract

Recurrent education of maintenance engineering was examined in several ways at Yokohama National University. Variety of recurrent educations have been well developed in Europian countries and United States. Japanese Ministry of Education is devoting inself to the promotion of this educational system. The present trial conducted the following results.
(1) The reccurent education is well accommodated with maintenance engineering.
(2) Both governments and companies need it strongly.
(3) The reccurent education in an engineering field seems to activate the cooperation among university, government, and company.
(4) The attendants drastically increase when a course is served at a convenient location.
(5) The educational impact is much larger than expected.
(6) The reccurent education of maintenance engineering in a permanent form is highly requested in Japan.
