Abstract
To employ people with disabilities in the agricultural sector, various efforts are being made not only in Japan but also around the world. In the United States, the state government and state universities are playing a central role in supporting agriculture for people with disabilities as AgrAbility. In the Netherlands, the Care Farm program focuses on psychotherapy and exercise training for people with disabilities and the elderly. In Italy, socially vulnerable people are participating in agricultural activities to improve their health and well-being as Social Farms. In Japan, various efforts to promote agricultural and welfare cooperation are attracting attention.
