Abstract
CBR system is expected in the areas of rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in Korea. This article suggests some subjects for activating and establishing the CBR system in Korea. First, increasing manpower and training institutes to support rehabilitation of people with disabilities. Second, consolidating management of the system by putting a core organization and experts. Third, establishing network system for giving correct and prompt information to people with disabilities. Fourth, technical improvement and development of welfare instruments by establishing training faculties. Fifth, increasing medical kits and moving means for patrol services to people with disabilities at home. Further research must be done to establish more effective system for community based rehabilitation in Korea.
