Abstract

In recent years, emergent regional vitalization project that has the purpose of vitalization and problem solving in a region has attracted attention. Emergent regional vitalization project is organized and generated when there is an appropriate communication of the actor who has the awareness of issues of vitalization and problem solving in their region. Therefore, in Scheme model stage, the platform that provides communication field and connection of the stakeholders has been formed. On the other hand, there are many issues such as the uncertainty of the emergent regional vitalization project owner or numerous goals and challenges from the newly joined actors, susceptibility to external environmental changes, undefined goals at the System model stage and etc. In this study, to solve these issues, creation of the position for owners, consensus building with local residents and rolling of the logic model by symposiums on a regular basis, and formation of a program platform that will promote the emergence and share the resources between projects were carried out in the targeted emergent regional vitalization projects in Odawara-shi, Kanagawa Prefecture. In this study, the results of these case studies were reported.
