Abstract
This paper proposes a strategic research and development management using Balanced Score Card for software system integration service providers. It identifies that the software system integration process is quite different from hardware product manufacturing. The procedure of making strategic MAPs for R & D division of software system integration service provider is described, taking account of Project & Program Management. The key performance indicators of research projects are designed form the integration view points of cost evaluation, non-cost evaluation, and the research period. Furthermore, it shows an indirect contribution process of research activities to the final goal of the company.
