Abstract
The Setouchi International Art Festival has begun from 2010. This art festival that aims to activate the community by art, "Art House project" to modifies and restores old houses and reproducing closed down Factory by art, As this shows, movements on reproducing the regions by contemporary art are expanding all over the country. From woodlands to Cities and even to isolated islands. And citizens and artists and various organizations are coordinated between each other to create environmental art using regional environment as materials. Therefore, in this monograph, I will research the significance of "Environmental Art" by finding out how it has been related between environmental art and community in Japan in it's transition in sculpture installation projects and art projects as a key.
