Current Trends on Network Security

Abstract

The current situation of network security and some measures for its improvement are presented. At first, some statistical data and profiles of network attacks are described with technical background, followed by some of basic counter measures for network attacks. The activities of Japanese government in the area are also mentioned briefly.
