Abstract

In this paper, we propose a discrimination method of freshwater clam viability with aim at developing sorting machines of freshwater clams. In our method, the feature vectors are extracted based on frequency analysis of acoustic signals that occur in hitting freshwater clams themselves, and then clams are classified by the decision tree method. Through the experiment, we confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.
