Abstract
As many people use digital maps in the ubiquitous network, facilitating fair use has become a great issue for vector map content. Watermark is expected to trace content and notify contact information to the end users. We clarify the technical requirement for the small size map including several hundred vectors. A line-division based digital watermarking system is proposed by inserting new points that divide a line segment, where the ratio of internal division indicates embedding information. The method is evaluated for surviving daily user's operations and tracing content.
