Abstract
The authors attempt to represent the characteristics of motion capture data by a one-dimensional time-series data stream. The data of the motion speed of all the principal body parts are summarized as a scalar value at every instant by using the magnitude of the velocity vector in a high-dimensional space. It is shown that the rhythmic style of motion is well extracted by analyzing one-dimensional motion-speed data streams.
