Abstract
This study provides two utilization methods of real-world data using a Kinect-based paint system. Recently, Kinect has been widely used for gesture operation. Although Kinect can detect multiple data simultaneously, most of conventional Kinect-based systems have not effectively used these data. Therefore, we propose two utilization methods: (1) a pen color adopts real-world color data captured from a Kinect; (2) two operation buttons track two sides of a user's hip. Our evaluation experiment has shown that two proposed methods are useful for the Kinect-based paint system.
