Abstract

This study conducted basic experiments to develop a detection technique for the dart-out of pedestrians from non-line-of-sight areas based on diffracted waves measured by 2.4 GHz-band radar. We demonstrated accurate classification of walking motions with high or low risks of dart-out based on deep learning of range profile images.
