Design of Bidirectional Current-Mode Adder Using the 5-Valued 3-Radix Signed-Digit Number Representation

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss bidirectional current-mode adders using the 5-valued 3-radix Signed-Digit number representation and examine how it can be more high-speed and how can it be more compact. And then, we examine Threshold Detector which is composed of n-MOS's and construct bidirectional current-mode adders with the detector by using the 3-radix Signed-Digit number representation.
