Abstract

Abstract: A spatio-temporal data structure, called the MT-PMD tree, is proposed for managing spatio-temporal data with multiple time attributes. The MT-PMD tree is developed by extending the PMD-tree data structure that provides multi-version accesses to spatio-temporal data. The MT-PMD tree can support retrievals based any combination of transaction time interval, valid time interval, and spatial intervals. By simulation tests, the amount of required storage and performances of searches are evaluated for spatio-temporal data with multiple time attributes.
