Abstract

This paper describes an earthenware pan used for an induction heating (IH) cooking heater. The IH cooking heater is a cooking utensil that doesn't use the fire. Therefore,it is excellent in the comfort and the safety. However, harmful lead (Pb) is found from the heating element of an earthenware pan applied to the IH cooking heater which is made in China. Moreover, the characteristic of earthenware pan applied to IH cooking heater still has not been clarified. In this study, characteristic of the earthenware pan applied to IH cooking heater is clarified. Then, using X-ray fluorescence analyzer (XRF),heating element of an earthenware pan made in China is analyzed. In addition, distributions of temperature and magnetic flux of an earthenware pan applied to IH cooking heater are clarified. Moreover, the cause of heating damage to the heater is found.
