Abstract
According to Nagae and others, "The driver is looking at the high position and a gaze is concentrating on bright subjects, such as road lighting and a signal, night" is supposed. That is, it has pointed out that the field of view of night becomes longwise and the attentiveness to a pedestrian becomes diffuse to the daytime when a field of view is oblong. Then, by illuminating the sidewalk in a crossing, the simulation examined the optical environment where a driver's look was dropped in night. Consequently, when a pedestrian ran out of pedestrian crossing this side at the time of left turn, it becames clear that a driver can forecast the danger at the proposal state easier than at the present condition.
