Abstract
We investigated a light generating material that was able to generate the lamp voltage in place of the ZnI2 and the high-pressure Xe gas. We selected TmI3 from ionized energy, the vapor pressure, and the radiation power. Because TmI3 generate a high lamp voltage as a result of examining it, we have found that high lamp efficiency is obtained while improving the breakdown voltage. For example, the maximum lamp voltage of 62V and the maximum lamp efficiency of 95lm/W were obtained in the high Xe pressure lamp of 30watts.
