Abstract
The smaller ratio of LV space to the whole sectional area of the heart in Group 6 may correspond to the "concentric" LVH. On the other hand, the delated RV space and the increasing tendency of LV space in Group 8 suggested the morphological process to cardiac failure in old SHRSP, which might be reflected in the predominant prolongation of QRS duration in ECG. The thickening of the coronary arterial wall with narrowed lumen was well correlated to LVH. And, it was detected even at the age of 1 month in the "prehypertensive" state. Therefore, there may be coexisting the predisposition to cardiac hypertrophy as well as to the medial hypertrophy of arterial wall
