Abstract
In estimating three-dimensional surface of a scene form two or more images, “Depth from Defocus” method has been widely adapted. This method uses the relationship among the depth, camera parameters and the amount of blurring in images to derive the depth from directly measured parameters. However, in the surface estimation for minute target objects, the differences of the amount of blurring among the images are extremely small, thus there exists difficulty to model of these objects. We investigated the values of luminosity over the image by changing the part of illumination of the slit light, and built new depth from focus technique where slit light is travelling over the target object and measure depth of minute objects. This model realize to separate the two operations — depth measurement and texture image acquisition, by maintaining the geometrical relations of the vertices of the target object and their texture images through the operation.
