This paper will discuss the notion of the principle of Procrastinate. The principle was introduced as an economy principle in Chomsky (1992/1993/1995) to account for why LF operations cannot take place in overt syntax. We will first see general issues bearing on the notion of economy principles, then review the contexts where Procrastinate is employed. After the preparatory discussion, we will propose a more successful way to look at the notion of Procrastinate, reducing it to feature strength, and suggest that Spell-Out directly defines a logical form.
