Abstract

We construct and analyze a mathematical model that consists of ordinary differential equations to discuss the population dynamics associated with AI dependency. We particularly focus on the significance of reputation and popularity in AI usage, which are deemed crucial factors in enhancing user satisfaction with their intended purposes and subsequently reinforcing the transition to AI dependency. Based on the mathematical results obtained from our model, we emphasize the importance of effective fundamental literacy in AI usage among users. Such literacy is essential for preparing and implementing preventive measures to mitigate the potential serious consequences stemming from the increasing popularity of AI usage in our society.
