In Japan, the collection and recycling of end-of-life business-use and household-use Personal Computers (PCs) have become obligation for the manufacturer since April 2001 and October 2003. However, the number of used PCs which recycled by manufacturers is less than 10 percent of the number of waste generation. Meanwhile, more and more PCs are reused in the domestic market and some of them are also being exported to other countries for reuse or recycling. In this paper, the material flow of PCs in Japan for fiscal year 2000, 2001 and 2004 was estimated by minimizing the errors in the flow.
