We estimated the environmental load of the product with technique of LCA(Life Cycle Assessment) and tried that, furthermore, we optimized inventory control by technique of SCM and reduced environmental load. We took away a newspaper as a product and examined the newsboy problem as a basic model of SCM. That we maximize profit is usually examined by the newsboy problem, but usually examined the condition that environmental load reduced in this study. we took up a carbon dioxide discharge as environmental load and defined the ratio of the effect of the product for the carbon dioxide discharge of the product as eco-efficiency and examined the inventory control technique how this value became greatest. Eco-efficiency showed that there were the maximum and the inventory control condition that it was it in the newsboy problem when we assumed normal distribution as demand for newspaper distribution and calculated eco-efficiency by simulation.
