We succeeded in measument of surface of casting by the roughness tester made by one of authors. The outline is as follows : 1) Roughness by of manufactures ; Casting-parts in the textile industry had finer surface than in other foundry. 2) Roughness and thickness of castings ; The more thick castings the roughness surface. 3) The best molding sand was from Noma.
