Abstract
A study was made to clarify the relations among various factors having influence on the cupola operation which were required to establish the automatic control of cupola by an electronic computor. Mesurements were carried out not only in a steady state of cupola operation but also with changing the variables of the operation. As a result of the measurements, it was observed that there were each time lags in the influences of variables upon the others when there were varied during the operation. Among the variables the temperature of hot blast had the most remarkable influence on the other conditions of cupola melting.
