Abstract
It was shown that the mechanical properties are strong when using steel scrap of bull structural plate and low grade steel. When using automobile body sheet steel scrap the tendency is reversed. The tendency differs with different deoxidation process in steel refining and the contents of nonmetallic inclusion in the iron. The properties of cast iron had significant influence on the contents of hydrochloric acid-soluble nitrogen and soluble aluminum in the iron.
