Abstract
The habitats of three species of the genus Triaenodes McLachlan (Trichoptera, Leptoceridae) were reported from Hokkaido, northern Japan; specifically, T. pellectus Ulmer, T. unanimis McLachlan, and T. qinglingensis Yang and Morse. Triaenodes qinglingensis was found in Hokkaido for the first time. The diagnostic characters for adults of two resembled species, T. qinglingensis and T. unanimis, were described based on Hokkaido specimens. Adults of T. qinglingensis were mostly taken from mountain streams and rivers; whereas T. unanimis was collected from standing waters, such as marshes and lakes. Triaenodes pellectus adults were found in mountain and lowland streams, as well as in standing waters such as marshes. Triaenodes species have not been collected from headwaters in Hokkaido.
